HOW IT WORKS
The profound effect of light on the human body has been known for centuries. It was utilized in ancient Egyptian healing and currently used in Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine. The affects are physical, mental, emotional.
Infrared: Far, Mid & Near
Far Infrared activates sweat glands on the skin. This process enhances energy flow, aids in blood vessel health & blood pressure reduction, and promotes weight loss. As the heart rate increases in Far Infrared light, the body gets a great passive aerobic exercise.
Mid Infrared increases circulation through vasodilation. When used on a consistent basis, Mid Infrared light has demonstrated the ability to significantly improve blood flow, thus bringing oxygen and nutrients to internal organs and reducing inflammation. It helps reduce muscle and joint pain, increase heart rate, and stimulate metabolism.
Near Infrared penetrates the deepest. It effectively heats the body core altering the body’s balance and putting it to work to maintain homeostasis. Near Infrared, partnered with Far Infrared, activates sweat glands, resulting in expelling toxins through the skin.
FAQ
-
Our infrared sauna is safe to use every day. On average, for therapeutic purposes, most people commit to 3-4 sessions a week or one session every other day.
For prevention or maintenance, the schedule can be more relaxed.
2 to 3 sauna sessions per month are always better than no sessions at all. -
Traditional saunas heat the air around you, which then warms your body from the outside in—usually at temperatures around 170–195°F. In contrast, infrared saunas use infrared light to penetrate up to 1.5 inches beneath the skin, heating your body directly from the inside out.
This deeper heat increases your core temperature more effectively while operating at lower, more comfortable temps (110–140°F). The result? A more intense sweat, enhanced detoxification, improved circulation, and muscle recovery—all without the overwhelming heat of a traditional sauna.
-
Infrared heat penetrates deep into muscle tissue (up to 1.5 inches), increasing circulation and oxygen delivery. This helps flush out lactic acid, reduce inflammation, and speed up post-workout recovery.
-
For recovery, post-workout is ideal. But some athletes use it pre-workout for warm-up, flexibility, and muscle priming. It depends on your goals—either can be beneficial.
